Yes, please pay your sitter for the total time they blocked off for you unless you have "Flex Time".

WHAT IS "FLEX TIME"?

If you have booked a combined total of 24 hours or more, you are eligible for "Flex Time". This allows you to cancel 1 hour per 8 hours booked at no cost.

DO YOU HAVE VACCINATED SITTERS?

Many sitters are vaccinated but not all. Just let us know if you prefer one and we'll do our best.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK A SITTER?

Depending upon your individual needs and schedule please allow for the following approximate timeframes which will enable us to better serve you:

  • 4-6 weeks: If you want the same sitter for multiple days over a holiday.
  • 3 weeks: If sitter consistency is not a priority over multiple dates.
  • 1 week: If you seek childcare for one single day or night.

WHO DO YOU HIRE?

We concentrate on hiring those who have experience working with children such as teachers, nurses, lifeguards, daycare/nursery staff, moms, nannies and ski/snowboard instructors.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOUR SITTERS HAVE?

Each sitter is required to have current CPR certification, a national background check, previous experience working with children and references. In addition to those qualifications our sitters must have a genuine interest in children, and a willingness to be fun and active.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?

$41 per hour. $2 per additional child (2 children = $43 per hour)

HOW OLD ARE YOUR SITTERS?

The average age of our sitters is around 27, however, we have sitters from age 19 to 60's.

CAN I GET THE SAME SITTER EACH DAY?

Yes, with advance notice.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Any cancellations made within 48 hours of the start time results in a full charge for the amount of time booked. When 24 or more hours are booked it's about 90% nonrefundable upon booking. See our "Flex Time" policy under the Pricing tab.

DO THE SITTERS PROVIDE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION?

Most sitters drive or take a bus to your location on their own. During time sensative situations or when a sitter does not have transportation, customers may choose to pay the cost of an Uber ride to and from a location.

WHY DO YOU HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY?

Our sitters only get paid when they work. This policy ensures that our sitters can count on an income from Care 4 Kids therefore allowing us to retain quality sitters.

DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF HOURS REQUIRED PER BOOKING?

Yes, we require a 4 hour minimum for each booking. This policy helps attract and retain high quality sitters who consider Care 4 Kids a worthwhile source of income.

HOW DO I PAY THE SITTER?

Cash, check made out to the sitter, American Express, VISA, Master Card, Discover. Sitters may swipe credit cards on site through Square. Some sitters accept Venmo. Please pay your sitter in full upon the completion service.

DO YOU CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD FOR ANYTHING?

No, we do not precharge but we need a credit card to secure the reservation, begin our scheduling process, and to hold a sitter. We will charge the card on file if the cancellation policy applies, if payment was not made to the sitter on site, or if you request to use the card on file for final payment.

HOW DO YOU CHARGE IF WE COME BACK LATE?

Once a customer is 15 minutes late, we round up to the next half hour.

DO YOU HAVE A SETUP OR MEMBERSHIP FEES?

No.

SHOULD I TIP THE SITTER?

Gratuity is not required but if your children had a fun and safe time, it is certainly appreciated by our sitters. Our records indicate that 67 precent of customers tip. It generally follows restaurant style of 15-20 percent.

DO YOU HAVE A FACILITY ON-SITE?

No, the sitter will arrive at your location using their own transportation.
